Whats new is we are doing this agin and no storm no nothing is going to get in my way of finishing the Yukon Quest this year if I can help it. Counting the musher we are a team of 15 I need to be as strong physically and mentally for the challenges that lay ahead this year just as the dogs are. The musher needs to have the confidence in themselve to succeed and the rest of the team will then work hard for me if I show that Alpha leadership. The bond that I have developed with my team is crucial and I take pride in knowing that they trust me. What will be fun is to see new strenghts and weekness, traits in myself and the dogs I have yet to see during a 1000 mile race. At age 19 my human friends sometimes think that I must be crazy to take on such a challenge but I honestly cant wait. I have been ready for at least two weeks the clock has slowed waiting for the first mile. Maybe my friends are correct but I don't think so. Even just getting to the starting line and having the confidence in myself and the team is an accomplishment Im proud of. All the hard work over the past eight years as been worth every minute and my sponsors helped make this possible.
